Photoinitiator TPO (Chemical name: Diphenyl-(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)phosphine oxide / (2,4,6-Trimethylbenzoyl)diphenylphosphine oxide, CAS: 75980-60-8) is a highly efficient Type I free-radical photoinitiator.
As a high-performance acylphosphine oxide photoinitiator, TPO exhibits a broad absorption range in the near-UV and visible regions, with an effective absorption peak at 350–400 nm, extending up to approximately 420 nm. Its most outstanding performance advantages include strong deep-curing capability, excellent photobleaching effect, fast curing speed, and superior yellowing resistance, making it particularly suitable for applications where traditional photoinitiators struggle to achieve deep curing, such as white systems, thick film systems, and pigmented coatings/inks.
